Kita patut bersyukur Perseroan berhasil melampaui Tahun
2016 dengan pencapaian yang sangat memuaskan.
Dari aspek operasional, nilai penjualan kabel tahun 2016
sebesar Rp2 trilyun, naik 26% dibanding tahun 2015. Hal
ini dikarenakan maraknya proyek infrastruktur, khususnya
kelistrikan dan telekomunikasi. Laba bersih Perseroan tercatat
sebesar Rp160 miliar, mengalami peningkatan yang cukup
signifikan dibandingkan dengan tahun sebelumnya.
Memasuki tahun 2017 ada sejumlah tantangan yang
dihadapi, baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri. Tahun yang
akan datang ini lebih sulit diprediksi dibandingkan dengan
tahun-tahun sebelumnya, karena selain ketidak-pastian
ekonomi global, kita juga menghadapi ketidak-pastian politik
global. Amerika Serikat keluar dari Transatlantic Agreement,
demikian pula dengan Inggris yang keluar dari Uni Eropa serta
ketidakpastian lainnya dengan meningkatnya ketegangan
diantara Big Power. Dari dalam negeri, kita perlu mewaspadai
masalah ketenagakerjaan, tight money policy, dan laju inflasi.
Meskipun demikian, dengan adanya komitmen pemerintah
untuk memfokuskan anggaran investasi dibidang infrastruktur
khususnya telekomunikasi dan kelistrikan, Dewan Komisaris
sangat optimis dengan prospek dan kinerja Voksel di tahun-
tahun mendatang.
Selain itu, perkembangan ekonomi Indonesia juga terlihat
menjanjikan. Ada beberapa modal utama yang menyokong
pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia, yaitu kepercayaan
masyarakat terhadap pemerintah yang meningkat pesat,
diiringi dengan kondisi pasar modal dan pasar uang serta
cadangan devisa yang jauh lebih baik dibandingkan tahun-
tahun sebelumnya, dan adanya tren kenaikan harga komoditas
yang sudah terlihat di akhir tahun 2016, dan diperkirakan
akan berlanjutnya pada tahun 2017. Melihat perkembangan
tersebut diatas, kurs rupiah diyakini akan tetap terjaga dan
stabil terhadap mata uang asing, yang akan mendorong laju
perkembangan Perseroan lebih baik lagi. Optimisme ini juga
didukung oleh terkontrolnya laju inflasi.
Dewan Komisaris menyadari bahwa peningkatan kinerja
Perusahaan secara berkelanjutan hanya dapat terwujud,
salah satunya apabila perusahaan menerapkan tata
kelola perusahaan secara konsisten. Untuk itu kami selalu
memberikan perhatian khusus dalam pengawasan atas
penerapan tata kelola perusahaan yang baik (
Good Corporate
Governance
) sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan oleh
pemegang saham, regulator dan
best practice
yang berlaku.
Dewan Komisaris menyadari bahwa peningkatan kinerja
Perusahaan secara berkelanjutan hanya dapat terwujud,
salah satunya apabila perusahaan menerapkan tata
kelola perusahaan secara konsisten. Untuk itu kami selalu
memberikan perhatian khusus dalam pengawasan atas
penerapan tata kelola perusahaan yang baik (Good Corporate
Governance) sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan oleh
pemegang saham, regulator dan best practice yang berlaku.
Dalam melaksanakan fungsi pengawasan dan pemberian
nasihat kepada Direksi, selama tahun 2016, Dewan Komisaris
telah mengadakan rapat baik Rapat yang sifatnya khusus/
koordinasi intern Dewan Komisaris maupun Rapat Gabungan
bersama Direksi. Rapat-rapat bisa merupakan rapat-rapat
rutin untuk memantau kinerja secara berkala.

2016 with a very satisfactory achievement. Looking at the
operational aspect, total cable sales in 2016 amounted to
Rp2 trillion, an increase of 26% compared to 2015. This
was caused by the rise of infrastructure projects, especially
electricity and telecommunications. Company's net income
amounted to Rp160 billion, a signi cant increase compared
to the previous year.
Entering 2017, there will be a number of challenges that
we must face, both from within and outside the country.
The coming years are more difficult to predict if compared
to previous years, because in addition to global economic
uncertainty, we are also faced with the global political
uncertainty. From overseas, there is uncertainty in free trade
area, where the United States went out of the Transatlantic
Agreement, as well as other uncertainties such as the exit of
the UK from the European Union. From within the country, we
need to be aware of the problem of employment, tight money
policy, and inflation. Nevertheless, as long as the government
infrastructure programs Indonesia are still ongoing, the Board
of Commissioner is very optimistic about the prospects and
performance of Voksel in the years to come.
Furthermore, Indonesia's economic growth looks promising.
There are several major capital underpinning economic
growth in Indonesia, namely the increment of the public trust
in government, along with the capital market and the money
market and foreign exchange reserves which are much
better than in previous years and there are an upward trend
in commodity prices that have been seen at the end of 2016
and this trend is predicted will be continue in 2017. Seeing
all the above elements, we believe that the Rupiah will remain
intact and stable against foreign currencies, which will drive
the Company's rate development become better. This
optimism is also supported by the controlled inflation.
The Board of Commissioner realizes that a sustainable
increase in the Company's performance can only be
realized if the company implements corporate governance
consistently. For that we always pay special attention to
the supervision of the good corporate governance (GCG)
implementation in accordance with the standards established
by the shareholders, regulators and applicable best practice.

In carrying out the functions of monitoring and providing
advice to the Board of Directors, during 2016, the Board
of Commissioner has held meetings both BOC's internal
meeting and joint meeting with the Board of Director. The
meetings may be regular meetings to monitor performance
on a regular basis.
