Di tengah kondisi makroekonomi yang cenderung stabil
selama tahun 2017, selaku Direksi PT Voksel Electric Tbk.,
perkenankan kami untuk menyampaikan laporan terkait
pengelolaan dan realisasi kinerja Perseroan selama tahun
2017.
Perkembangan Makro Ekonomi dan Industri 2017
Kondisi makroekonomi menunjukkan tren pemulihan
dengan tingkat pertumbuhan mencapai 3,6% (yoy)
sepanjang tahun 2017, khususnya di negara ekonomi maju
seperti Amerika Serikat dan negara-negara di kawasan
Eropa dan Cina. Seiring dengan kondisi tersebut, harga
komoditas juga menunjukkan peningkatan.
Per Desember 2017, harga tembaga dan aluminium di
London Metal Exchange (LME) melonjak hingga level
tertinggi selama kurun waktu 4 (empat) tahun terakhir
setelah Cina memerintahkan produsen utamanya untuk
menghentikan produksi dalam upaya mengurangi polusi
pada musim dingin. Sepanjang tahun 2017, harga tembaga
dan aluminium tumbuh di angka kurang lebih 20%.
Di tingkat nasional, Indonesia mencatat pertumbuhan
ekonomi sebesar 5,1% atau lebih tinggi dibandingkan
5,02% yang dicapai pada tahun 2016. Direksi melihat
fundamental perekonomian nasional di tahun 2017 telah
cukup kuat seiring dengan laju inflasi dan nilai tukar
yang stabil sepanjang tahun 2017. Di sisi lain, Direksi juga
melihat bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi tahun 2017 masih
ditopang oleh konsumsi masyarakat, investasi dan ekspor.
Kami menyambut baik komitmen Pemerintah Republik
Indonesia dalam mendorong proyek infrastruktur
selama tahun 2017 yang berdampak pada pertumbuhan
sektor-sektor ekonomi lainnya termasuk industri kabel.
Secara spesifik terkait industri kabel, kami menilai 2017
merupakan tahun yang baik. Meskipun harga logam
mengalami volatilitas cukup signifikan, Direksi mencatat
kinerja industri kabel cukup positif.
Tantangan Tahun 2017
Di tengah kondisi ekonomi yang relatif stabil, Direksi
mencatat beberapa kondisi yang berdampak pada
perkembangan bisnis Perseroan. Dalam aspek regulasi,
sekalipun inisiatif Pemerintah dalam mengelola iklim
bisnis dan industri telah cukup baik selama tahun 2017.
Implementasi beberapa kebijakan oleh pemerintah pusat
dan daerah berdampak langsung terhadap pelaksanaan
kegiatan bisnis dan operasional Perseroan.
Sebagai entitas perusahaan yang menjunjung tinggi
kepatuhan terhadap peraturan perundang-undangan,

Macroeconomics and Industry Overview 2017
Macroeconomics condition indicated a recovering trend
to 3.6% (yoy) throughout 2017, especially in developed
economy countries such as United States, Eurozone
countries and China. In line with the condition, the
commodity price was also increasing.
As of December 2017, copper price at the London Metal
Exchange (LME) surged to the highest level during the
last 4 (four) years after China commanded its main
manufacturer to shut-down production to reduce
pollution during the winter season. Throughout 2017, the
copper and aluminum price grew around 20% level.
At national level, Indonesia recorded economic growth
of 5.1% or higher than 5.02% achieved in 2016. The Board
of Directors view national economy fundamental in 2017
had been stronger followed with stable inflation and
exchange rates throughout 2017. On the other hand, the
Board of Directors also analyzed that economic growth
in 2017 was still underpinned by public consumption,
investment and export.
We gladly appreciate commitments of our Indonesian
Government in supporting local infrastructure projects
in 2017. Hence, contributing to growth of other economic
sectors, including cable industry, We viewed 2017 as a
favorableyear. Despitemetalprice experienced significant
volatility, the Board of Directors noted performance of the
cable industry remained positive.
Challenges in 2017
In the midst of stable economic condition, the Board
of Directors noted few conditions which impacts on
the Company’s business development. Government’s
initiatives in managing business and industry climate
had been very supportive during 2017. Implementation of
several policies by the central and regional governments
had directly affected the Company’s business and
operational activities.
As a corporate entity that upholds compliance with Law
and regulation, the Company had consistently attempted
