Prospek industri perkabelan di tahun 2019 masih
optimis seiring dengan proyeksi pertumbuhan sektor
kelistrikan Indonesia. Dalam sektor kelistrikan,
selain harapan pada eksekusi mega proyek program
35.000 MW yang dicanangkan oleh Pemerintah untuk
selesai pada tahun 2019, pertumbuhan kebutuhan
listrik masyarakat sekitar 5.000 MW per tahun
merupakan salah satu potensi yang akan terus
mendorong pertumbuhan sektor kelistrikan di tahun
mendatang. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut,
PT PLN (Persero) sebagai produsen listrik utama di
Indonesia
menargetkan
peningkatan
penjualan
listrik di tahun 2019 tumbuh sekitar 5,6%
dibandingkan tahun 2018. Untuk mencapai target
tersebut, PLN akan menggenjot serapan konsumsi
listrik di segmen rumah tangga dan industri.
Hingga akhir 2018, masih terdapat beberapa
wilayah di Indonesia Timur yang belum terpenuhi
kebutuhan kelistrikannya yang juga akan menjadi
peluang pertumbuhan bagi Perseroan sebagai
penyedia infrastruktur pendukung sektor kelistrikan.
Di sisi lain, pertumbuhan sektor kelistrikan juga
akan didorong oleh pertumbuhan operasionalisasi
PLTU batu bara hingga tahun 2024 mendatang.
Di tengah proyeksi akan peningkatan
demand
di sektor kelistrikan tersebut, upaya untuk membangun
infrastruktur ketenagalistrikan yang andal merupakan
salah satu peluang yang dapat dioptimalkan oleh
Perseroan. Manajemen telahmempersiapkan rangkaian
program strategis untuk terus memenuhi kebutuhan
proyek kabel di dalam negeri melalui penyediaan
kabel berkualitas dan proses pengiriman yang tepat
waktu. Manajemen juga terus mengembangkan
keunggulan kompetitif produk Perseroan untuk
bersaing dengan produsen kabel di tingkat regional
dalam melakukan penetrasi ke pasar internasional.
Cable industry prospect in 2019 remained optimistic
in line with projection of Indonesian electricity sector
growth. In the electricity sector, besides expectation
upon execution of 35,000 MW mega project initiated
by the Government to be completed in 2019, growth of
public electricity demand will reach approximately 5,000
MW per year as a potential that will boost electricity
sector growth in the next year. To fulfill this demand, PT
PLN (Persero), as primary power producer has targeted
electricity sales growth at around 5.6% in 2019 compared
to 2018. To achieve such target, PLN will boost the
absorption of electricity consumption in the household
and industrial segments.
By the end of 2018, there were some regions in Eastern
Indonesia with shortage of electricity supply that also
becomes another growth opportunity for the Company
as provider of supporting facilities for the electricity
sector. On the other hand, the electricity sector growth
will be also supported by operations of coal Power Plant
(PLTU) up to 2024.
In the midst of projection on increasing demand in the
electricity sector, initiatives to build a reliable electricity
infrastructure still become another opportunity to
be optimized by the Company. The Management has
prepared series of strategic program to continuously
fulfill domestic cable project demands through high
quality cable supply and on time delivery process.
The Management will also increase competitiveness
of the Company’s products to compete with cable
manufacturers at regional level in penetrating the
international market.
