Pemangku kepentingan yang terhormat,
Tahun 2020 merupakan tahun yang penuh dinamika bagi
seluruh sektor industri, tak terkecuali bagi PT Voksel Electric
Tbk (Perseroan) yang menjalankan usaha di sektor industri
kabel. Pandemi COVID-19 yang menyebar di Indonesia sejak
Maret 2020 telah membawa dampak yang signifikan bagi
rantai pasokan dan aktivitas bisnis secara keseluruhan.
Kondisi ini sangat mempengaruhi produktivitas dan capaian
target kinerja Perseroan.
Sepanjang tahun 2020, Perseroan tetap menjalankan
usahanya dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang
ketat, serta mengambil langkah-langkah strategis, baik
untuk jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Direksi
melakukan penyesuaian pada target-target kinerja, visi
dan misi Perseroan. Langkah lain yang dilakukan adalah
merencanakan
kerja
sama
pengembangan
inovasi
teknologi, serta meningkatkan kompetensi karyawan.
Dengan demikian, Perseroan tetap melaksanakan tugas
dengan sebaik-baiknya untuk mempertahankan kinerja dan
melalui semua tantangan selama tahun 2020.
Tinjauan Ekonomi dan Tantangan Industri Kabel di
Indonesia
Di tengah ketidakpastian perekonomian global, terjadi
perlambatan aktivitas akibat pandemi COVID-19. Namun
seiring perjalanan waktu, roda perekonomian global
mulai bergerak sejalan dengan berbagai kebijakan yang
diambil oleh setiap negara. Situasi ini juga terjadi di
Indonesia. Melalui sinergi dari berbagai sektor, Pemerintah
mengeluarkan berbagai kebijakan untuk membangun
optimisme Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional (PEN), termasuk
melalui pembukaan sektor ekonomi produktif, akselerasi
stimulus fiskal, serta mempercepat penggunaan teknologi
di segala bidang.
Di tahun 2020, Perseroan masih tetap dapat beroperasi
dengan adanya pembatasan sosial berskala besar setelah
mendapatkan izin sesuai Surat Edaran Menteri Perindustrian
Nomor 7 tanggal 9 April 2020. Menurut Ketua Umum Asosiasi
Pabrik Kabel Indonesia (APKABEL), sektor industri masih
memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap struktur Produk
Domestik Bruto (PDB) nasional, yakni sebesar 19,98% pada
kuartal I tahun 2020. Akan tetapi hal ini tetap berdampak
terhadap penundaan beberapa proyek kelistrikan dan
menyebabkan terhambatnya penyerapan kabel produksi
dalam negeri.
Dear Stakeholders,
Year 2020 was a strenuous year for most industries, including
PT Voksel Electric Tbk. (“The Company”) who runs its
business in the cable industry. COVID-19 impacted Indonesia
since the beginning of March 2020, and soon dispersed
into a pandemic and shook the industry significantly from
supply chain to the overall business activities. Towards the
Company, its productivity and performance target were
being affected as well.
Throughout the year of 2020, the Company run business-
as-usual within the safety management measures upon
implementing strict health protocols under strategic
consideration for short and long term. The Board of Directors
had adjusted the performance target in alignment with the
Company’s vision and mission. Further improvements were
also conducted through innovative technology development
and employees’ competency enrichment program. Hence,
the Company could optimize its performance and overcome
all challenges in 2020.
Economic Overview and Cable Industry Challenges in
Indonesia
Amidst global economics uncertainty, COVID-19 pandemic
caused the business activity to decelerate. However, the
global economics had shown some progress upon various
policies created by Governments all around the world,
including Indonesia. The Government of Indonesia made
use of the industry synergies to create policies in stimulating
market optimism, called National Economic Recovery
(PEN), such as the opening of productive economic sector,
accelerating fiscal stimulus as well as technology adoption
for all sectors.
Throughout 2020, the Company were able to operate during
the period of large-scale social limitation with special
permission granted according to Ministry of Industrial’s
Circular No. 7 dated on 9 April 2020. According to the
Chairman of Indonesian Cable Manufacturing (APKABEL),
the industrial sector provided a significant contribution
of 19.98% to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (PDB)
during the first quarter of 2020. On the other hand, the
postponement of several electrical projects impacted
domestic cable production and supply chain.
